    ADB to provide Rs42.5bn to KP for Metro Bus project

    CMKhattak directs timely Completion of BRT Peshawar

    PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the concerned departments to properly monitor the progress on the main corridor and allied routes of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Peshawar and the shifting of utilities at both sides of the main corridor of the BRT, adding that the project has been taken as a challenge and would be completed with the same spirit.

    ADB Approves 335m loan Peshawar Bus Project

    The board of directors of the Manila-based lending agency approved the loan for the construction of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s first mass transit infrastructure at a total cost of $587 million.

    In addition to the $335 million ADB loan, the K-P government – led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – will obtain two other loans from two European financial institutions.
