“I am glad that TransPeshawar(TP) becomes one of very few public sector companies that successfully conducted its first annual general meeting in time,” said Dilroze Khan, Member BoD TransPeshawar and convener of Audit Committee. “It is a requirement by Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan, to comply with corporate governance rules, and TP becomes one of premier, section 42 companies of KP province to follow this.” he added.
TP held its first annual general meeting chaired by Mr. Dilroze Khan, at its office in Peshawar this week attended by Secretary TMTD Kamran Rehman, District Nazim Peshawar Muhammad Asim Khan, Executive Director Urban Policy Unit Aamir Afaq, Acting CEO TransPeshawar Fayyaz Ahmad and Company Secretary/CFO Safdar Shabbir. Members unanimously adopted its audited financial statements and its annual report for period ending June 30, 2018. The members also agreed appointment of audit firm for next fiscal year.
In addition to approving its audited financial statements, the members also agreed to amend the memorandum of association of TP to include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa transportation in the agenda to enable TP to operate throughout the province.
