Overall Role

The Surveillance Officer will assist Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS) in the daily monitoring of operations through CCTV camera. The role is expected to have 10% field visits and 90% work in the office. Along with daytime work, the site work also includes night duties. This includes recording of contract violations and other components of the declared project in accordance with the requirements of the company’s obligations. The main responsibility includes recording of contract violations which can be monitored through CCTV cameras and field visits provide support to all Assistant Managers, Manager Security, investigate special cases, conduct field inspections, review ITS and AFC portals and compile violations.

This role is also responsible for assisting the Assistant Managers in the timely collection of the information required by the Manager and Senior Management of the Company.

Key Responsibilities

The Surveillance Officer will assist Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS). Their prime responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS) in compilation of invoice reports;
  • Assist the Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS) in checking performance of all portals under the System Control Goods and Services contract (“Contract”);
  • Assist the Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS) in compilation of violations through CCTV and field visits;
  • Assist the Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS) in contract compliance;
  • Conduct investigation of special cases in ZU System, investigate complaints, investigate theft cases etc. through CCTV cameras;
  • Conduct random surveillance to ensure the safety and security of all people, assets and systems;
  • Collecting information by monitoring and observing day & night activities through cameras/surveillance system in control centre, detecting irregular activities and keeping detailed log of the operational and monitoring activities;
  • Record keeping and disposal of Lost and Found items;
  • To ensure all ongoing activities (at stations and corridor) comply with the conditions of the declared project assigned to the company;
  • To ensure activities at stations and corridor comply with the terms and conditions of the relevant contract;
  • To ensure effective communications with the Assistant Manager BRT Control Centre (ITS), senior management and Control Centre staff at all times including timely reporting of emergencies and incidents; and
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by TransPeshawar.
Position Requirements
  1. ATTAINMENTS

Qualification

Required

At least 16 Years of education from a recognized university in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field from a recognized university.

EXPERIENCE

At least 02 years of post-qualification relevant experience. 01-year experience in monitoring, reporting and supervision on CCTV will be an added advantage.

  • Above average skills in consultative team communications and operational management,
  • Good in responding to emergency response and mitigation measures,
  • Competence in using surveillance technology, related computer equipment and software,
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver reports and agreed actions in a timely manner and within budget,
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility in accordance with sound management principles,
  • Credible, and comfortable in dealing with management, line agencies, general public and other stakeholders; and
  • Empathic communicator, able to work with a team and see things from the other person’s point of view.

 

  1. CIRCUMSTANCES
  • Maximum Age 30 years.
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Domicile.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu and Pashto would be an added advantage.
  • Good health, allow to work long and irregular hours (when required).
