Overall Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer; the Finance Executive will be responsible for the management of routine affairs of the Finance Department in the form of financial transactions, taxation, reconciliations, and maintaining the overall record of the section. The job of Finance Executive is to ensure that the financial affairs are conducted in a transparent and professional manner and all the applicable regulations and laws are being followed.

Key Responsibilities

The major areas of responsibility for the Finance Executive include:

  • Verifying transactions source documents and preparing vouchers.
  • Making accounting entries and adjustments in Enterprise Resource Planning software.
  • Depositing taxes withheld into government treasury in timely manner.
  • Filing various tax statements and returns.
  • Processing bank payments and preparing bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting Budget & Accounts Officer in the preparation of various financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing accounting information and trends.
  • Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.
  • Maintaining customers confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing results as needed.
  • Performing any other task as assigned.
Position Requirements
  1. ATTAINMENTS

Qualification

Required

At least 16 years degree from a recognized university in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or ACCA/CA Inter or a closely related field from a recognized university.

Specialized Training/ Courses/ Certification

Professional training/ courses/ Certification in accounting related disciplines and any other skills considered relevant for the position.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 year of post-qualification relevant experience in dealing with financial matters of government / public sector / private reputed entity.

  1. EXPERIENCE AND CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Demonstrated experience of accounting standards and taxation laws, sufficient to manage accounting function of TransPeshawar;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills that allow for interpretation of budgetary, financial, and related management information;
  • Excellent numerical and analytical computer skills and experience using spreadsheet, accounting and other software tools;
  • Excellent writing skills sufficient to draft reports and correspondence that are clear and concise;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with persons at all levels in the organization;
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially with regards to sensitive or confidential personnel or organizational matters;
  • Strong organizational skills to work independently, set priorities, meet deadlines and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

 

  1. CIRCUMSTANCES
  • Age below 30 years.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu, Pashto would be an added advantage.
  • Good health, allow to work long and irregular hours (when required).
