KP Urban Mobility Authority Issues Notification for BRT Fare Increase
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Mobility Authority (KPUMA) has issued a notification announcing an increase in BRT fares. According to the notification, a Rs. 10 increase has made in all stages of BRT fare.
The current minimum fare of Rs. 20 has been increased to Rs. 30. However, there’s no increase on the Express Routes which are operating on a flat fare basis.
This inevitable adjustment has been made in response to the rising cost of fuel. Authorities stated that the fare revision was necessary to ensure the continued provision of uninterrupted, high-quality transport services for passengers.
New fares will be applicable from July 1, 2025.
