OVERALL ROLE:

Reporting to the Assistant Manager Electrical; Electrical Executive has to focus on the installation, maintenance, and supervision of all electrical systems critical to the operation and safety of BRT infrastructure, including stations, depots, control center and plazas. He has to supervise, inspect, and ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within the BRT infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, signalling, UPS systems, HVAC controls components, ensuring system reliability, safety, and minimal downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of Electrical Executive has following primary responsibilities:

1. Electrical System Maintenance & Supervision:

  • Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems including lighting, distribution boards, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and elevators/escalators.
  • Monitor energy consumption and ensure optimal usage across BRT stations and facilities.
  • Supervise regular inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.

2. Project Execution & Installation:

  • Supervise installation and commissioning of new electrical systems at BRT stations, plazas, and depots.
  • Ensure compliance with design drawings, electrical codes, and safety standards.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers during construction or retrofit projects.

3. Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety practices in accordance with local laws and international standards.
  • Ensure proper grounding, protective devices, and fire safety compliance in all installations.
  • Respond to and investigate electrical faults, hazards, or incidents and implement corrective actions.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed logs and service records of all maintenance, inspections, and incidents.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on power consumption, equipment status, and fault rectification.
  • Recommend and track spare parts inventory for critical electrical components.

5. Team & Vendor Coordination:

  • Supervise electricians and technicians in routine and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Evaluate third-party maintenance contractors for performance and adherence to SLAs.
  • Provide on-site training and technical guidance to contractor’s staff.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. ATTAINMENTS

QUALIFICATION

At least B.Sc degree Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields from a recognized university.

Specialized TrainingElectrical Safety, SCADA, BMS, and ITS infrastructure training or any other skills considered relevant for the position.

Active affiliations – membership of recognised Industry or Professional Organisations.

EXPERIENCE

At least 02 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Experience in electrical system maintenance in transportation, commercial, or infrastructure projects will be considered an advantage.

  • CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Solid understanding of LV/MV electrical systems and building services.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting electrical panels, circuits, and controls.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, and ITS infrastructure (CCTV, AFC, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of energy-saving practices and electrical efficiency.
  • Good communication, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software
  • CIRCUMSTANCES
  • Fluency in English and Urdu. Pashto will be considered an added advantage.
  • Good health, allow to work long and irregular hours (when required).
  • Age up to 37 years on the closing date of applications.
